It is with great sadness that the family of the late JOSIAH LANGDON of Grand Bank announce his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Center on Friday, May 5th , 2017 at the age of 89. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Wife, Bessie of 66 years; Daughters, Joan Langdon of Grand Bank, Yvonne (Charles) Thornhill of Grand Bank; Sisters, Alma (Wesley) Bungay of Grand Bank, Rudy (Leo) Loveless of Seal Cove, Ida (Winston) Loveless of Seal Cove, Beulah (Eric) Loveless of Seal Cove, Sister-in-Law, Helen Langdon of Grand Bank: Brothers, Cluett (Joyce) Langdon of Seal Cove, Hickman (Tryphena) Langdon of Seal Cove; 3 Grandchildren, Scott (Becky) Follett, Tyson (Courtney) Prior, Holly (Corey) Hoddinott; and 5 Great-Grandchildren, Julia, Isabella, Emily, Sara, Olivia; plus a large circle of relatives and friends.
Predeceased by Parents, Edward and Bertha Langdon, Brothers, Albert Langdon, Gerald Langdon, Maxwell Langdon; Sister, Florie Langdon, Sister-in-Law. Caroline Langdon; Brother-in-Law, William Langdon.
Resting and visitation will take place from Wiseman’s Funeral Home, Grand Bank on Saturday, May 6th , and Sunday, May 7th from 2 p.m. à 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. à 9 p.m. Funeral to take place from the Salvation Army Citadel in Grand Bank on Monday, May 8th , at 2 p.m. Interment to follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery in Grand Bank. In Josiah’s memory donations may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund in Grand Bank.
