John Guiney Obituary
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare’s Hospital on Wednesday March 1, 2017. John Leo Guiney, age 93 years of Goulds. Predeceased by his parents John and Anne, sisters Elizabeth (Stan) Fowler, Teresa (James) Cahill, Bernadette (Jack) Curtis. He leaves to mourn with loving memories his wife of 61 years Josephine (Walsh). His children Gerard (Gail), Rick (Gerri), Denise (Mario) Curtis, Christine (Gary) Willmott, Noel (Donna). Eight Grandchildren Scott and Sarah Curtis, Sean Guiney, Keaghan, Kendal, Corbin Guiney, Elizabeth and Matthew Guiney. Four great grandchildren. Also, leaving to mourn his brothers Cyril (Marie), Charlie (Ethnea). Sister in-law Monica (Bob) Cover. Also, leaving to mourn nieces, nephews and friends. Special thank you to the Staff and the Pastoral Care Team of 4 West for the kindness and compassion shown toward dad during the past four and a half months. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road. Visitation on Thursday from 7-9 pm and Friday from 12-9 pm. Funeral Mass will take place at 10 am on Saturday, March 4, 2017 from St. Kevin’s Church, Goulds. Interment will follow at St. Kevin’s Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully accepted or donations can be made to St. Kevin’s Family Aid.
