Alice Mary Gibbons
(September 1, 1965 – June 12, 2016)
Surrounded by her family, our beloved sister and aunt passed peacefully away at Masonic Park Nursing Home on Sunday June 12, 2016 at age 50. Alice bravely fought a long and hard battle with Multiple Sclerosis and Ovarian Cancer. She was predeceased by her father Augustus in 1978 and her mother Winnifred in 2011. She leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters John, Dorothy, Mary (Jim Ellwood), Joe (Cheryl Tulk) and Rita. Aunt Alice dearly loved her nieces and nephews Kathleen Ellwood, Michael Hunt (Jenna Hillyard), Neil Ellwood (Leanne Dalton), David Ellwood and Megan Hunt (Chad Lowther) and great-nephews Jayden, Ryder, Austin and Dominic Lowther. She is also mourned by her best friend Jenny Williams who stood by her through thick and thin over the years. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will take place at Caul’s Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road, on Tuesday, June14, 2016 from 1:00pm until 9:00pm and on Wednesday June 15, 2016 from 10:00am until 1:30pm. Celebration of Alice’s life will take place on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at 2 pm from Caul’s Chapel. Inurnment to follow at Belvedere Cemetery. Flowers graciously accepted or donations in Alice’s memory may be made to the Children’s Wish Foundation or the Children’s Helpline.
