Edward J. Chaikoff, 74, passed away September 21, 2011 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

Ed, playfully known as "Fast Eddie" by some of his friends, was born in New York, NY. He served his country for 20 years in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in Hawaii. He went on to work another 23 years for the U.S. Postal Service; retiring in 1999. Ed and his wife Donna moved to Alaska in 1985. He was an avid golfer, who also enjoyed making Saturday night pizza for his family, studying world history, collecting movies, and singing in his church choir. Ed was not only a loving and caring father and grandfather; but was also a generous man, often donating to numerous charities and organizations.

Ed moved to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in 2007 to help care for his mother-in-law Mary Kiser. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Alexander and Anna Chaikoff and his wife Donna M. Chaikoff. He is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law: Darci and Mark Ornellas of Anchorage, AK and Robin and Randy Huckabay of Nikiski, AK; his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Nicole, Ashley and Matthew; and four great-grandchildren.

"We will all miss him very much but are at peace knowing that he is reunited with his wife, who he missed dearly; and his Savior Jesus Christ". A memorial service, celebrating his life, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, October 28th at Muldoon Community Assembly, 7041 DeBarr Road.
