Elaine wed Ernest Joseph Daniels on November 4th, 1947. She was widowed when a plane crash claimed Ernest on July 31st, 1957. She will be laid to rest beside her husband.

In 1959 she moved to Littleton, NH, where she raised her family, and in 1984 she made her final residence in Anchorage, AK, to be near her three children and two granddaughters. Elaine loved laughing, singing, dancing, and writing poetry. Being from a musical family, Elaine was never shy to sing and eventually had a collection of songs put on a CD titled "Elaine Daniels Sings Through the Years".

When younger, she worked in retail and sold Avon’ products. Later she worked as a proofreader for the Anchorage Times. She was one of their best, always able to spot a misspelled word. She retired in 1992.

Elaine was preceded in death by her father, mother, husband Ernest, daughter Bonnie, and her siblings: Vernon Prue, Leonard Prue, Doris Karaberis, Kenneth Prue, Reginald Prue, and Madeline Collins.

She is survived by her sister Marion Lakin and brother Frederick Prue.

On April 21st, 2012, a visitation will be held at the Curtis-Britch Funeral Home on 37 Lake Rd in Newport, VT from 8:30-10:30 AM. A formal mass will follow at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church at 11:00 AM.
