Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Mae Craven, of Oxford, formerly of Saks, will be at 2 p.m. today, July 3, 2012, at K.L. Brown Memory Chapel in Golden Springs with Dr. Charles Owens and Dr. Roland Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends from noon until 2 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Craven passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2012, at Cleburne County Nursing Home. Mrs. Craven grew up in Randolph County, Alabama, but lived most of her life in Saks. After retirement from a long career at Higginbotham, Inc., Mrs. Craven also retired from the Calhoun County School System. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. James Craven and brothers, Bill Ogle, Melvin Ogle, and Herbert Ogle. Mrs. Craven is fondly remembered for her love of her family, particularly the love she expressed to the many children born into it. Mrs. Craven is survived by her loving sister and her husband, Linda and Joe South; her dear niece, Jodi South and three brothers and their wives, Hulon and Modena Ogle, James and Sue Ogle, and Cranston and Louise Ogle; numerous nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Dennis Turner, Danny Craven, Danny Hurst, Jason Roach, Jimmy Ogle, and Chase Craven. Honorary pallbearer will be Todd Craven.
