Marie Francis Massaron Obituary
Jacksonville – Funeral services for Marie Francis Massaron will be Friday, January 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father James Macey officiating, K. L. Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Center directing services. Burial will be in the Jacksonville City Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 tonight. Mrs. Massaron died Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at her residence. She is survived by her husband, John J. Massaron, of Cincinnati, Ohio as well as cousins, Kim and Lanny Young and their children, Amanda and Ross Young, Abby and Channing Olive and Eli and David and Lori Green and Morgan and Gavin Green. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Authur J. Bedinghaus, of Cincinnati, Ohio and Cecil Messer, of Florida. Born in Jacksonville, Alabama, the daughter of John S. and Francis F. Giannone, she was the granddaughter of John and Eliza Jane (Wilson) Ramagnano. Marie graduated from The Catholic High School at Key West, Florida and first in her class at the Atlanta Law School. She worked in Governmental Services including the Atlanta General Depot, the Atlanta General Accounting Office as an auditor, The Veterans Administration in the Adjudication Division, and Federal Security Agency, Engineering Division. She worked in the post JA as a claims examiner as well as being a Prosecuting Attorney for the 3rd Army and later as an attorney for the Internal Revenue Service writing tax laws. In addition, she had been admitted to serve as an attorney and counselor in the Supreme Court of the United States of America. Marie had no children and after retiring, moved to South Florida where she lost two husbands to cancer and then met her husband, whom she married in 1990. He brought her back to her hometown to live in 1997. The family would like to thank nurses, Jamy Martin, Cindy Crump and Kimberly Tucker and Aide, Kendra Leonard of New Beacon Hospice for their compassionate, loving care.
