Helen Theresa Cameron (Malhoit) went to be with the Lord on Thursday, January 5, 2011.
Born July 25, 1929, in Westborough Massachusetts to Henry and Christina Malhoit. She attended Westborough High School where she played on the girls basketball team. Helen graduated from Becker Junior College with a secretarial degree. At the age of 21 Helen moved to Berkeley California where she was an Administrative Assistant for Pacific Bell. It was in Berkeley where she met Monte Cameron whom she would be married to for 49 years before his passing in 2006. Retired from the North Sacramento School District, Helen enjoyed golf, playing cards, visiting the local casinos and trips to Hawaii with her husband. Helen will be especially remembered as a die hard Kings, 49er and of course New England/Boston fan. she loved her sports and could keep up with the boys in any conversation concerning her teams! She also enjoyed a good game of cards and played often with her friends at the Sierra Regency!
She is survived by her sister Lucille Giles; son, David Cameron, wife Becky; daughter, Sabrina Martinelli, husband, John; grandchildren: Lauren, Chris, Annie, Janelle, her husband Nick, Natasha and her fiancee, Ed, Morgan, and her husband Mike, Mallory, and her husband Dave, Brittany, Jeffery, Benjamin, and his wife, Sandra; great-grandchildren: Michael, Stella, Alex, Italia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held at the Sierra Regency 1015 Madden in Roseville CA 95661, on Friday, January 13, 2012 from 12 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcome and should be made to John Adams Academy.
