SPRINGFIELD – Jane Lou Adams of Springfield died at 9:50 pm, Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Capital Care. She was born January 4, 1929 in Petersburg to Percy and Ruby Gains Davis.
She is survived by one son, Rufus Lee Adams, Jr. of Springfield; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents; one sister, Mildred Mitchell and two brothers Joseph and Bruce Davis preceded her in death.
Jane was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She worked for the State of Illinois Revenue as a Data Processing Assistant for 48 years.
Visitation: 4 à 6 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Staab Funeral Home.
Lie-in-state: 11 a.m. à 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Funeral Service: 12 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2011 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Lee E. Fields officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Petersburg, Illinois.
