William D. Kistner Obituary check_circle

William D. Kistner, 57, of Maynard, formerly of Concord, died Monday, May 21, 2012 at Community Hospice House in Merrimack, New Hampshire. He was the beloved husband of Wendy (Smith) Kistner. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on June 13, 1954 he was the son of the late James J. and Laura (Bedient) Kistner. He attended Concord public schools and Concord-Carlisle High School, class of 1972. For fourteen years Bill was employed for John Palmer Moving Company in Concord. Most recently he worked as a precision sheet metal mechanic at SKL Fabricators in Malden. A resident of Maynard since 2007, he was an avid fisherman, computer hobbyist, and avid gardener. He especially enjoyed fishing at Beaver Kill River in New York. In addition to his wife, Wendy, he is survived by two daughters, Laura and Heidi, 3 brothers, Jimmy, Mark and David and his sister, Marilyn and a grandson, Leonard Bettez. He was also the brother of the late Patricia Mayo and Janice Pryor. Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, May 26th from 4 to 7:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:30 PM in the Farrar Chapel of the Dee Funeral Home, 27 Bedford Street, Concord Center. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to A. L. S., Association, Massachusetts Chapter, 315 Norwood Park South, 1st Floor, Norwood, MA 02062. Arrangements are under the care of Susan M. Dee and Charles W. Dee, Jr., Directors, Dee Funeral Home of Concord.
