David Robert Campbell Obituary
David Robert Campbell, III CHARLOTTE – David R. Campbell, III, of Charlotte, NC, passed away June 25, 2012, with his loving wife by his side. He was born August 23, 1930 in Martinsville, VA of the late David R. Campbell, Jr. and Mayburd. David is survived by his wife Suzanne of the home, daughter Susie and brother Richard and wife Sue of San Antonio, TX. Preceding him in death are brothers John and Billy Campbell both of Martinsville, VA. David was a graduate of Martinsville High School and National Business College, Roanoke, VA. He served four years in the US Air Force. David retired in 1987 as a sales representative for Norfolk Southern Railway after 30 years of service. David was an avid golfer. A celebration of David’s life will be held at the home Sunday July, 1 2012 from 4 to 6 pm. A private memorial service will be held at sea with family and close friends at a later date. The family would like thank the health care staff of Liberty Nursing and Rehabilitation for their kind and loving attention they gave David.
